Haaave you met Lush?

Following a friend's suggestion, here I am with a big-topic-post. It's about Lush, a brand I am grateful and faithful to. Those know me are aware of the fact I don't buy any product that is tested on animals (this means make up as well as shampoos, soaps and so on). When I made this decision I went through a hard time trying to discover which brands test and which don't. The conclusion? Almost all brands do (definitely all those you may find on the shelves of a supermarket or a large department store). Fortunately somebody, a person like me and thousands of other people, who cares about animals invented Lush back in 1995. Before carrying reading, you must know this: Lush is like heaven to me, so if you believe what I'll write is overstated
-> first bear in mind that I love it! -> Second, go and try their products and you'll know what I'm talking about.
The photo on top shows my "Lush collection" (at the moment). Everything they offer is cruelty-free*, made of natural ingredients (mainly fruits and vegetables) and, apart from being great quality, it looks and smells sooooooo good! All of their products are handmade and fresh (in fact, they have an expiry date) but some of them are VERY fresh (like face masks) so you have to keep them refrigerated. This is due to little or no use of preservatives and to a pure and simple packaging. Ok, I could go on and on writing about how wonderful Lush is, but I think you'd be better off taking a look at their website as I show you a couple of my favorite products instead.

Oh, one last thing before we head on to our Lush journey: they have plenty of serious campaigns going on, starting but not limited to animals rights, so it's definitely worth checking them out. Plus, they collaborate with PETA.

The Olive Branch is a wonderful shower gel made of (guess what?) olive oil, mandarin juice, bergamot oil, lemon, Vine Leaf Infusion and Orange Flower Absolute. If you're on the hunt for something that makes you squeaky clean and also has a gorgeous smell, search no further! To me, this is one of their best products ever (and it was also my first purchase at Lush).

This is Aqua Mirabilis, my second favourite. It's a skin-conditioning super-bar made of a cocoa and almond butter, a mixture of perfect consistency that will moisturise your skin without leaving a greasy feel. Plus, ground almond shells rub away dead skin and leave it super soft (trust me, you won't believe how soft you skin can get), clear and smooth. Sandalwood and rose oils soothes your skin and create an inviting fragrance. This butter bar is so yummy you might wanna eat it!

Angels on bare skin is the perfect cleanser for sensitive and dry skin types. Thanks to the presence of rose oil and lavender, it takes any redness away and leaves the face soft and hydrated. After a couple of days you will see noticeable improvements in your skin and you only need to use a little amount of cleanser, so it will last a long time.

Inoltre ne basta pochissimo ogni volta, quindi vi durerà tantissimo!

Soo.. if you've made it till here, congrats! (: One last thing. I understand Lush goods are not very cheap, but to me, knowing I'm not hurting any rabbit, monkey or dog, is definitely more important than money is. (Have you ever seen what they DO to animals when testing cosmetic products? There are hundreds of videos you can watch on the net).

Thanks for reading!! <3

*it means that neither the product nor the ingredients in it are tested by Lush or other external companies.
