Ralph Lauren Runway Spring 2012 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week

After designing the costumes for The Great Gatsby in 1974, Ralph Lauren takes the opportunity to revisit its style anticipating the release of the remake planned for November 2012.
Next spring's collection is in fact largely inspired by the twenties, featuring extremely clean and elegant lines, and, above all, characterized by an unmistakable class. For the daily looks, palettes of pastel colors and a few more intense shades were selected, while after dark looks show a predominance of white and nudes. Besides, Swarovski crystals, feathers and sequins make all evening dresses simply unforgettable.
As expected, the runway didn't fail to impress. 


Dopo aver disegnato i costumi per Il Grande Gatsby nel 1974, Ralph Lauren coglie l'occasione di rivisitarne lo stile anticipando l'uscita del remake previsto per novembre 2012.
La collezione per la prossima primavera è infatti ampiamente ispirata agli anni '20, pulita ed estremamente elegante nelle linee, ma soprattutto caratterizzata da una classe inconfondibile. 

Haaave you met Lush?

Following a friend's suggestion, here I am with a big-topic-post. It's about Lush, a brand I am grateful and faithful to. Those know me are aware of the fact I don't buy any product that is tested on animals (this means make up as well as shampoos, soaps and so on). When I made this decision I went through a hard time trying to discover which brands test and which don't. The conclusion? Almost all brands do (definitely all those you may find on the shelves of a supermarket or a large department store). Fortunately somebody, a person like me and thousands of other people, who cares about animals invented Lush back in 1995. Before carrying reading, you must know this: Lush is like heaven to me, so if you believe what I'll write is overstated
-> first bear in mind that I love it! -> Second, go and try their products and you'll know what I'm talking about.
The photo on top shows my "Lush collection" (at the moment). Everything they offer is cruelty-free*, made of natural ingredients (mainly fruits and vegetables) and, apart from being great quality, it looks and smells sooooooo good! All of their products are handmade and fresh (in fact, they have an expiry date) but some of them are VERY fresh (like face masks) so you have to keep them refrigerated. This is due to little or no use of preservatives and to a pure and simple packaging. Ok, I could go on and on writing about how wonderful Lush is, but I think you'd be better off taking a look at their website as I show you a couple of my favorite products instead.

Oh, one last thing before we head on to our Lush journey: they have plenty of serious campaigns going on, starting but not limited to animals rights, so it's definitely worth checking them out. Plus, they collaborate with PETA.

In seguito al consiglio di un'amica, ecco un post su Lush, una marca che ha tutta la mia gratitudine e fedeltà. Chi mi conosce sa che non compro nessun prodotto che sia testato sugli animali (il che significa non solo make up ma anche shapoo, saponi e così via). Quando ho preso questa decisione ci ho messo molto tempo e fatica per capire quali compagnie testassero e quali no. Il risultato? Praticamente tutte testano (di sicuro tutte quelle che si possono trovare sugli scaffali dei supermercati o nei grandi magazzini e le grandi marche). Per fortuna qualcuno che, come me ed altre migliaia di persone, ha a cuore gli animali ha inventato Lush nel 1995. Prima di continuare dovete sapere che: i negozi Lush per me sono il paradiso, quindi se pensate che quello che sto per scrivere sia esagerato -> primo, tenete a mente che io amo Lush e i loro prodotti -> secondo, andate a provarli e capirete di cosa parlo!

Yesterday I was strolling through the center of Milan when my boyfriend showed me this place (I'm sure many of you already know it) where you can buy designer clothes and accessories in kilos. Did you expect me not to go inside and take a look? So in I went. Although the overall setting could be better, they do have some nice stuff and amazing discounts! I couldn't help but try this Jean Paul Gaultier long black dress. The only problem was to make me take it off!!

Ieri stavo passeggiando per il centro di Milano quando il mio fidanzato mi ha fatto notare questo posto (che sono sicura molte di voi conosceranno già) dove è possibile comprare vestiti di marca al kilo. Beh, vi aspettavate forse che non entrassi a dare un'occhiata? Anche se la disposizione dell'intero negozio potrebbe essere migliore, hanno dei capi carini e degli sconti considerevoli. Non ho potuto non provare questo abito lungo di Jean Paul Gaultier.. Il problema poi è stato riuscire a farmelo togliere!!

Zara's new picks

Here are some of my favourite picks from Zara's new collection. I decided to opt for a total black look with a couple of gold details. I especially like the butterfly on the open-toe ankle boot (slightly similar to Sophia Grace's shoes). I'll soon be uploading a day look as well.

Ecco alcuni dei miei pezzi preferiti della nuova collezione di Zara. Ho optato per un look total black con alcuni dettagli oro. Mi hanno particolarmente colpita gli stivaletti open-toe con la farfalla applicata (che riprendono vagamente l'idea delle scarpe di Sophia Grace). Pubblicherò presto anche un look per il giorno.

Missoni for Target

Missoni is one of those brands you can always count on, knowing that over the years they will never leave you disappointed. The ad only shows a tiny preview of the upcoming and awaited Missoni for Target collection, but expect to see everything from clothing to homeware, in the maison's typical zigzag and swirl style. The collection will be in stores and online from tomorrow to October 22 and it is said to include more than 400 items.
